This FF&E service focuses on the curated layers that bring a home to life, taking your project from carefully sourced furnishings through to final styling, all managed in-house by JMD.

Design Vision & Concept Development

The first stage is all about getting to the core of your brief and how you want to live in your home. This phase is different for every project, but is very much the starting blocks of your project.

Before any design work begins, we take the time to understand how you want to live in your home. This stage focuses on developing both the practical and aesthetic foundations of the project, ensuring the design reflects your lifestyle, priorities and aspirations.

Where a property already exists, our team undertakes a detailed site survey to obtain accurate dimensions and gain a thorough understanding of the building and its potential. For new-build projects, we begin by reviewing the proposed architectural drawings alongside your architect, ensuring the interior architecture and design vision are considered from the earliest stages of the project.

Design Presentation

We put together a presentation for you to digest at your own pace and convenience. Typically this comes in the form of a document where we present not only the overarching design concept that has been developed throughout the process as a consistent base, but space by space where we detail individual finishes, fixtures, and pieces of furniture.

We detail each space and the design rationale behind all of the decisions that we've made — from the architecture, natural and artificial lighting, base materials, to showcase features and materials, links to the original design brief, and include stills from the virtual reality walk-through.

Costed Specification & Delivery Schedules

We have a team dedicated to FF&E and Procurement within the studio. Once the pieces have been fully signed off, our team then collate every element into a fully costed specification.

This document will be issued for your sign off to ensure you're happy with total costings, which we will have developed with you in line with your budget and requirements at an earlier stage.

Once everything is signed off, we then move into the scheduling phase — where contractors and suppliers are officially enlisted and we get to work organising, scheduling and liaising the project details in line with implementation time frames.

Design Management, Site Coordination & Procurement

Throughout the project, JMD work with the on-site team and engaged suppliers / manufacturers, to ensure the design and fulfilment of the project is executed to the best possible standard.

As part of our project management phase, Jessica May Design looks after all design procurement and purchasing of the design scope, handling all deliveries, installation and communication with suppliers, to avoid project delays and to ensure everything is delivered when the team on the ground require it to keep the project moving.

We organise the full installation of the project, scheduling the installation team and undertaking the final styling phase in-house.

Decor Design & Management

We pride ourselves in designing every single detail: right down to the very last candle placed.

As part of our decor design & management, we produce a detailed decor specification & presentation, visualising how the exact pieces of decor that we've selected will look in your space.

On-Site Install & Styling

Once the site is ready for the final phase install, we do all of this in house at JMD. We organise and schedule all deliveries of the finishing items, oversee installation of said items and complete the final styling phase.

Resulting in your beautiful new home being handed over to you and your family, completing the service.

  • We cover the entirety of the UK & Abroad. If the project aligns with the quality of project we deliver for clients we'll travel far and wide.

  • All of our projects receive a unique fee proposal after an initial enquiry call with our Director Jess. Every project is different, so we don't work off a standard pricing structure - we ensure the service we're offering is exactly right for the individual client and project.

  • Generally, the sooner the better. In the context of a new build project or large scale renovation, we like to be heavily involved in the spatial layout of the interior spaces - naturally this can impact architectural plans. Jess can provide more in-depth information when you book a discovery call.
